As part of Service Pump’s ‘best of breed’  investment policy, the company has made a further fleet purchase in 2017 – this time from pump manufacturer Generac.

The purchase of both 100mm (4″) DWP-4 and 150mm (6″) DWP6 pumps was influenced by its innovative run dry protection system and the fact that it is available with either turn key start or automatic stop/start functionality to enable efficient management of water flow and fuel consumption. The special design makes these pumps suitable for different applications used in construction, civil engineering, quarry, mining and industrial locations where pumping high-volume fluid displacement is essential.

Managing Director David Berry at Service Pump commented:

“’Service Pump Ltd is a 100% customer focused Pump Hire company that is committed to delivering bespoke pumping solutions for our customers. To accomplish this, we’ve taken a best of breed approach to give us the ability to tailor the correct equipment for each application.

We were impressed with the quality, innovative design and performance of the pumps all supported by a world-class global manufacturer and brand. However, though the investment in Generac represents a significant component of our overall expansion plans for the UK Market it is just a part of a wider-reaching strategic approach that focuses on the best model for our customer’s specific application requirements.”

Service Pump’s range of silenced, low fuel burn, diesel driven screw impellor pumps are having a substantial positive impact for our customers from both an environmental and economic standpoint. Here’s just one client’s feedback.

“Service Pump Ltd supply first class service and equipment. Their prompt response and committed support reduces site downtime ensuring we can focus our time on core activities. I am particularly pleased with the cost reduction on their range of diesel driven pumps. On average, they’re saving the company over 76% on diesel fuel compared to other supplier’s equipment. I would recommend Service Pump to any civil engineering or groundworks contractor”

Due to the innovative design of the pump, and specifically the impellor unit, we can achieve great efficiencies resulting in considerably less fuel burned per hour than our competitor’s equipment. For instance, our 1 litre per hour compares with many competitors who are consuming, on some occasions, over 4 litres per hour!*

This means far less emissions released into the atmosphere as well as lower fuel costs giving substantial financial savings to the operator.
